The GPET Convention Talent Quest
Tone up your tonsils, dig out your dancing shoes and get ready to shine…
The entertainment for this year’s Convention Dinner will be a Talent Quest and all attending are invited to participate.
In keeping with the theme of the 2008 Convention, ‘Further, Higher, Stronger – Achieving a personal best through teamwork’, GPET is inviting each regional training provider (RTP) to put forward a Talent Quest team. Each team will be asked to put together an act that reinterprets a well-known song. Teams can choose any well-known song they fancy to show off their vocal skills.
Due to time constraints there will be just one team per RTP - all interested parties should contact their RTP
as soon as possible to put their name forward as well as any ideas they may have regarding the act.
Entries for the Talent Quest will close Friday 16 May. RTPs must submit their team and team name
by this date. You don’t have to have finalised the act by this date, the deadline is simply to determine how many
teams will be participating.
The Talent Quest will be held at the Convention dinner on Wednesday 27 August; lighting and stage requirements
will be organised by our convention coordinator Doreen Culliver. For those who like to dance the night away,
a DJ will be the final performer of the night.
