Getting to and from Darwin's airport is fairly easy as it is only 12 km from the city centre. There is an airport shuttle bus which will drop you off or pick you up from nearly anywhere in the city. However, you must book one day in advance when travelling to the airport. Ph: 1800 358 945. Alternatively take a taxi.
Dress
Dress throughout the conference is neat casual. Dress for each function is indicated in the function description.
Privacy On Q Conference Support will gather and record personal information necessary for your attendance at the Conference. Personal information will be gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.
Delegate List A delegate list will be supplied to all Conference attendees including sponsors. The list will include only those delegates who have indicated approval on the registration form.
Photocopying at the Conference Please ensure you bring a sufficient number of any handouts for your session. The AVPC Committee cannot be responsible for costs in relation to production of your handouts. If you require items to be photocopied at the conference, this will be at your own cost and may be done through the venue.
Smoking The conference and social functions are non-smoking.
Name Badges Name badges will be issued when registering at the conference. For security purposes the conference name badge must be worn at all times during the conference.
Baby Sitting Please contact your chosen hotel to arrange a baby-sitting service.
Parking Complimentary car parking is available for all delegates attending the Conference. Valet parking is available at a cost.
Accommodation Accounts All accommodation accounts must be settled on check-out. Neither AVPC Committee nor On Q Conference Support will be responsible for accommodation accounts not pre arranged.
Insurance Registration fees do not include personal travel or health insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that when registering for the conference and booking travel that delegates make arrangements for appropriate insurance cover. The AVPC Committee and On Q Conference Support do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to take adequate insurance cover.

Messages A message board will be located near the Registration Desk.
Weather The mean daily temperature in June in Darwin is around 31 celsuis or 90 fahrenheit with the minimum around 20 celsuis or 68 fahrenheit. But in the coolest months of June and July, the daily minimum temperature may dip as low as 15 celsuis or 59 fahrenheit.
Darwin has a tropical climate during which nearly every day is warm and sunny, and afternoon humidity averages under 50% and there is usually no rainfall from June to September.
