Pamela Dennison Is well known to most of our members through her wonderful books “Bringing Light to Shadow: A Dog Training Diary”, “How to Right a Dog Gone Wrong”, “The Idiots Guide to Positive Dog Training”and her latest, “Civilising the City Dog”. Pam owns and runs Positive Motivation Dog Training. Since its establishment in 1996, she has helped thousands of dogs and handlers build their relationships and solve problems, by teaching basic obedience through competition and working with a myriad of behavioral problems. Pam teaches puppy K, basic obedience through the Canine Good Citizen test, competition obedience, Rally-O and holds regular classes and seminars for aggressive dogs. |

Roger Abrantes, PhD Roger Abrantes is an internationally acclaimed ethologist renowned for his classic works “Dog Language--An Encyclopedia of Canine Behavior” and “The Evolution of Canine Social Behavior” (both available from APDT Library) . His credentials include a PhD in Evolutionary Biology and Ethology, BA in Philosophy, DHC, DF, MAPBC, and 17 books covering sound advice to pet owners as well as theoretical scientific dissertations. Dr Abrantes teaches ethology, anthropology, and epistemology (theory of knowledge), besides his practical work with dogs, horses cats and rats. He is especially known for his views on social behavior and its applications to the daily understanding of pet behavior; and for his no-nonsense working methods. |

Jennifer Messer, DVM Jennifer Messer is a veterinarian working in small animal practice in Ontario, Canada. In addition to routine clinical medicine, Jennifer conducts private canine behaviour consultations and has designed and implemented an in-clinic puppy parenting program to educate dog-owning clients about puppy behaviour and training. During her years as a veterinary student, she established and operated Montessaurus Puppy School where she now serves as the curriculum consultant. Dr. Dunbar highly recommended Jennifer’s puppy class philosophy and curriculum as being among “the best there is” and her presentations at the USA APDT in 2007 were extremely well received. Jennifer is acknowledged as a leader in curriculum development for young puppies, and her comprehensive puppy class program The Kinderpuppy Course – A Curriculum Manual for Instructors, published by PavSki, is being used by puppy class instructors worldwide. |
